Things to know before using Honey in Your Hair

  • Stick to raw organic honey. If needed warm the honey little bit, but keep in mind that the ultra-pasteurized clear products you buy at the local supermarket or online market really don’t have many benefits.

  • Try adding some honey to your regular shampoo or conditioner if you don’t feel like making up a separate treatment.

  • Avoid using harsh products and also heat treatment like using a straightener for your hair in your daily routine.

  • Be aware of the type of hair that you have. Applying honey and olive oil to the thin, limp, hair that is always prone to getting oily will probably just make your hair greasier and heavier.

  • There’s no need to use these treatments every day. Once or twice every week can be sufficient for your hair care.

  • You need to be patient and understand that applying honey masks to your dry and damaged hair is not going to restore them to a perfect condition right away.

Much of what you see in stores are just different ratios of basically the same stuff with different fragrances. By using honey, you always know what you’re getting every time, and personally, you will love the results.

You might like to think that your hair is fairly healthy overall, but since the dry winter months are coming up, having a little extra conditioning and moisture are always wanted.
